Winflash ok to use now?

I read some bad stories about tunercats winflash crappin out their computers while reflashing. But, I also noticed this was with an older version of winflash.
Is the newer version ok to use? I'd like to use dos, but unfortunately windows 2000 doesn't let me.

you need a DOS boot disk with the flshprog.exe and flshread.exe on it. I have one that I can send you the files off of to put on a floppy if you email me. The boot disk I have works for XP so I assume it works for 2000 as well.
