I am trying to tune my 94 z with a file from Ion and the winflash program will not establish a connection. I can connect with freescan but not winflash. What is the deal?

Well... after a few more tries I've noticed that freescan will not connect everytime. What could be causing the bad connection?

I hooked the battery up, ran freescan and it connected... so i tried to run winflash right after that and it said it could not connect and aborted. After that I could not connect with freescan.

Ok, I can get freescan and datamaster to scan pretty much every time now. And I still cannot get winflash to read or program. When it tries to read it will kick the fans on then say it cannot connect and abort.

 

ok, ive switched the com ports all around and It still will not read... i bought a serial-usb adapter and that does even less... i updated my bios, updated everything i could on my computer, turned off every running app that i could... and it still will not read!?!?
