vss is vehical speed sensor
tcc is torque converter clutch
im not sure what pnp nignel is ,poss pnp signal? but i still dont know what pnp isso im no help there .to better help you well need the numbers of the codes, because there is several differant codes for both the vss and tcc.i think there might of been more info if you page down on the scanner it seems as though there was more info you didnt see.it might of looked like ''tcc power fault'' or ''vss output too low'' or ''pnp signal too high'' if you can get us the numbers that go with to the trouble codes then we can tell you exactly whats wrong and how to fix it.

The first response told you that "vss" is the vehicle speed sensor. That's the sensor on the tranny tailshaft housing, that you need to tell the PCM what speed the vehicle is travelling at. Are you saying you don't have a speedometer, and don't want to connect it up?

"Open loop" has nothing to do with the VSS, TCC or PNP. Open loop is determined by the coolant temp, functioning O2 sensors and a timer. Being in open or closed loop will not determine when those codes are set.
