Tuning Computer in DOS (TTS Datamaster)

We'll i got the cable and now i can't read my tune and change the speedo setting like i need to

The cable works but it will not let me scan the tune onto my computer...I was told it's b/c i have XP and you can't switch to MS-DOS in xp...my friend that tuned my computer last accidentaly changed the speedo settings and now my speedo is off. His computer has windows 95 and he switches to DOS before he's tunes it...is there anyway to do this with my computer or am i going to have to buy an older laptop!?

make a dos boot floppy disk and put it in the computer and turn comp on, as long as you have bios boot order right it should automatically go to dos, then change to the hard drive and locate file, then open it...

if you need further explaination of this then just say so...

o and if you set bios to boot up cd rom first then you could probobly use a cd also...
