Pcm Question!!!

Can I run a ODB2 pcm on a 94 camaro that has a ODB1 Pcm?

People on this forum do it all the time. OBD-I > OBD-II or OBD-II > OBD-I. You do have to match your knock sensor to the OBD type. The crank position sensor is another thing to be considered, depending on which way you are swapping.

It can be done, but it is better to have it reprogrammed or you'll have SES lights and all sorts of things going on.

In fact, you don't need to swap knock sensors. If you leave your OBD1 knock sensor in, you will have disabled the knock sensor completely, so it will never pick up any knock. If you're OK with that, then you don't have to replace it.
