Hypertech Power Programmer III Q's about shift points..

i bought a Hypertech Power Programmer III for my 96 camaro z28 its a auto. and i was wondering if anyone could help me with the shift point settings i dont really understand that part of the programmer. so if any one has an auto 96 camaro z28 camaro is good at finding the right shift points can u let me know it would be a big help....thanks

If the car is stock, I would leave the shift points stock, unless you're into drag racing and want every single bit out of it. In that case Hypertech wouldn't be that good of a choice for programming, but as far as shift points go, it is generally better to shift around 600 RPM or so past where your engine makes the most power, so in your case, ~5300ish RPM, you could probably add 1 mph to 1-2 and 2-3 mph to 2-3.
