pcm

I had a meltdown in my car with the alternator, had the system checked and the guy said, with no certainty that the pcm may not be sending power to the alternator causing it not to charge the battery. Anyone ever hear of that before?

You are getting voltage on the exciter wire?

There is something wrong with that wire, then. You should be getting 12v with the key ON. The alt won't turn on without that voltage. It comes from the cluster and has a 470 ohm resistor in the circuit. The resistance must be there.
