has anyone ever "made" your own pcm wiring harness

was just wondering what was needed as far as tools, connectors, relays, fuses, pins and such. i'am in need of making my own because i'am running an injector driver and deleting everything not needed to properly run the engine and i want to move the pcm to the inside of the car and route the wires through the firewall behind the intake to hide the majority of the harness...

I didn't make my own harness, but I did completely remove unnecessary plugs and wires and extend a stock LT1 harness when I put it in my 69. It wasn't that bad really. I did have wiring schematics which made wire tracing easier.

The hard part I would think would be the different colored wire for each sensor/location. They have to be labeled if you don't use the same wiring.
