Odd SD / MAF tune idea, input please..

Alright, to start off, i've only used my tuning software for engine swap required changes, and havent needed to focus on bothering to tune.

I've always wanted to build a turbo setup on an LT1 thirdgen, however the issues with tuning a turbo'd LT1, on the stock computer, just dont seem to make it worthwhile, for my own reasons i'd rather stay with a factory ecu.

Now i've got a nissan 240sx, with 2.0L turbo engine, the stock maf on these max's out at about 250 rwhp, a common upgrade is the Z32 300ZX maf, which is capable of around 475, maybe even 500 RWHP.

One of the tuners, that does mail order tunes, is now doing tunes using the cobra maf, or the 90mm lightning maf. The lightning maf I believe is listed by this company to support somewhere around 700-800 RWHP.

I'm quite certain the cobra and lightning mafs are a 0-5V output type.

Would it be possible or feaseable at all to set the pcm up for speed density mode, but use the lightning maf, drawthru setup, and feed that input to the map input on the pcm, and tune a turbo LT1 properly ????

If this has been brought up before, please forgive me, I searched a bit, but the results bring up too broad of a base, and from what I did look through, I didnt see it mentioned.

If it wont work, please let me know why.
