Making your own cable?

I got a tune loaded by someone local and they had their own cables that they made to work with my car.

So i was wondering if anyone had any write ups on how to make your own connection cables.. I think i've seen it somewhere before but i can't remember where.

Also is there one for making your own o2 extensions also?

As for the O2 extensions, I just cut the harness from the wires going to the PCM and extended it (soldered and shrink rapped), rather than buying extenders or cutting the wires on the O2 sensor itself. Haven't had any problems so far.
