New computer system
Is F.A.S.T the only way to go? My buddy just got an A.E.M for his mustang. I know they make everything for mustangs. His setup is great just what I am looking for. I can't find anything for camaros from A.E.M. Thanks in advance.
I will do a search on google but out of these will any of them completly replace the factory computer? I have a 93 and will need to be able to tune it whenever not have a chip burned everytime.

They will all allow your engine to operate, and they will allow you to tune it, using a laptop. You will have to address the Optispark interface - not really a problem on a 93 because you are already living with batch-fire injectors. You need to keep the stock PCM to provide the speedo, and on the MoTeC (which I have) for the IAC control.
I don't know what the compatibility of the Delteq would be with each of the aftermarket ECU's. The currently available Delteq requires the optical pulse signals from the Opti. The guy who designed the Delteq setup (JC Hyde) used to be the lead engineer with Electromotive, so I suspect there may be some compatibility there. The E'motive uses a "waste spark" setup with four 2-tower coils, just like the Delteq. It also operates the injectors on pairs - I think they call it semi-batch fire.
With your 93, the whole ignition and injection problem is simplified. Any of the units I mentioned can run in batch fire mode with only a crank position sensor. You don't really need the Opti. Recognize though, that a working Opti provides a superior ignition system with regard to spark timing and reduced spark scatter. I've been runnin on only the optical section of the Opti for 4 years, and it has proven to be very reliable. My original Opti took a crap at 50K miles... the vented replacement is still going strong. Getting the high voltage stuff out of the Opti seems to eliminate a lot of the problems.
