Map reading high I think

In my data logging my Map kpa is running around 50 at idle. Is this normal?
The car seems to run ok but i do smell some gas like it may be rich or something. Do i need a new Maf and if i do what brand should I pick up?

With a stock cam, you typically see 35kPa at idle. The LT4 HOT cam will not pull quite as much vacuum. And the accuracy of the tune and valve adjustment can affect the idle vacuum, as can a vacuum leak.

50kPa doesn't seem too far out of line, but I've never checked a scan on an engine with the LT4 cam.... and do you really mean an LT4 cam (which is not much different than a stock LT1 cam), or do you really mean you have the LT4 HOT cam?

Then you start asking about the MAF sensor? What's that all about?

My mistake inj. I thought that the map was the maf sensor for some reason. I'm new to this data logging and wasn't sure what everything meant.

Have you read my online scanner guide?

I will now. Someone did mention it in another post but hadn't looked yet. I really don't know if I have the LT4 hot cam or not. I just remember the guy say lt4 cam but I could be wrong. Is there any way I could tell from a reading of datamaster or something? I'm gonna run a new scan soon and post it so I can get some idea's of where any problems are. i do know the idle is way too high.

You're not going to be able to determine the cam specs by looking at the data log.
