gear ratio vs shift point

Ok just signed up here and I am new to forums but here it goes. I have a 96 Z28 with CAI, magnaflow exhaust, a shift kit and 3.73 gears. Not an everyday driver but I do drive it on the street. I am about to buy the dynamic tuner from JET to fix the odometer but I also want to fix the shift points. Any help with info on what my shift points should be would be appriciated. Also is there anything else I should think of changing with this tunner.

I can't help with the shift points, but I think a lot of guys here will agree that you should get a mail order tune or dyno tune for the best result. But I guess if you really plan on just keeping your car lightly modified as it is now, a handheld tuner will be ok to make minor changes in the future which you won't be able to do with a mailorder or dyno tune without paying again.

You probably should be posting this in the programming forum. There is a transmission tuning tutorial sticky there. As stock, shift points are set by speed (though it can be altered to shift by RPM).
