LT1 Knock Sensor Electrical Specs
Does anyone know what the computer/knock module look for under both normal and abnormal conditions in terms of electrical signal?
The reason I ask is because I would like to try to build a knock module simulator. Something that would send a dummy signal to the ECM telling it that no knock condition exist. Does anyone know if this has been done?

Your seriously overcomplicating this. You unplug the knock sensor and put the correct resistor between the harness connector and ground, to simulate the resistance of the knock sensor. 4.5kOhms 93-95, 100kOhms 96/97.
Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, trans type, major mods, etc. It will help people provide you with more accurate responses.

Overcomplication is my middle name
Thanks for the help. I was not sure if it would be that easy. I am getting knock retard due to the header intstall and I am looking for easy ways to fix it. This should do the trick as a last resort. I have my reservations about getting rid of that safety.
