Angry Broke my T56 last night

Went to Cecil last night to make some more tuning passes to try and get the car to run decent. I made 2 full passes. I am still tring to figure out if I am getting false knock so I put some 98 octane race gas in the car but could not find a 3.9k .5 watt resister to disable the knock sensor so I figured I'd try and run it anyway. Here is the breakdown:

First run launched at 5500rpms

60ft 1.730
330ft. 4.967
660ft. 7.679
mph 91.07
1000ft. 10.007
1/4 11.955
mph 116.21

Second run launched the same tried dropping the fuel pressure 5lbs to see what it would do...the car didn't respond well to that by slowing 2 tenths and 2 mph.

60ft. 1.741
330ft. 5.060
660ft. 7.840
mph 89.17
1000ft. 10.213
1/4 12.199
mph 114.02

Thrid run I bumped the fuel pressure 3lbs higher than I initially had it set at and softed the suspension a little. I launched at 6200rpms and SNAP!!! the car stopped moving. I am 99% sure it is the output shaft on the T56. It leaks no fluid, all the gear shift fine, the clutch hydolics still work, but the speedo doesn't work when I put it in gear so all point to the output shaft. Now I have to decide on whether or not to go with another T56 or just put a th350 or th400 in it and change the rear gears to a 3.73 to make it somewhat streetable. Any opinions?

Thanks for any responses
Matt

My freind broke his output shaft on his T56 about 2 months ago. He got a new output shaft, took it and the input shaft and got them chryogenically frozen, then got the viper 3/4 shift fork put in and since has run a 10.10 without any issues.

So I guess that it depends on how bad you want to run with the M6?

Good luck,
Roman

Thanks for the reply, Roman. I have been thinking about the cryro treatment but I am still undecided on what I should do. I do not think it is the horsepower that kills these trannies as I only run 11's but rather the shock of the launch. I got a quote to have my tranny internals cryrotreated with a brand new output shaft, a steel 3-4 shift fork, and put back together for $800.00 from D&D. So I am still trying to decide on what to do.
