Can somebody send me the software for LT1 Edit?
I purchased a package deal off the for sale section. Lt1 edit, the registered pcm, and a lap top. The only problem is the laptop doesn't have the software on it yet and when I received the package the cd that the software was on was cracked. I still tried reading from it but it won't work. I can't even get into the pcm to get the vin # to email carputing.
I've left messages for the guy I bought it from, but havn't heard back from him yet. I was just trying another avenue to see if I can get the program faster.
I don't even know if the software is registered to a vin # and if someone elses will even work for me?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Unless you have an "unlimited" copy, the software is locked to one VIN. I would deal only with Carputing on this problem, to avoid any questions of impropriety with the software. If you have the original purchaser's name, Carputing should be able to track it down. Surprising the software isn't on the laptop.... you send them the existing file from the PCM which gives them the VIN. They e-mail you the program, locked to your VIN. (Maybe that's just on the OBD-I setup??.)
That's what I thought. He got in touch with me tonight so hopefully we can work it out. It is obdII and it has the original purchasers name on the (interface cable??) I might be-able to give them the name or send them the interface for the new software. I just don't like the idea of explaining how I got this, wich i'm sure is kind of suspect in there eye's.
and against there purchaser agreement.
Thanks
