BOosted tunning.. New idea? Possible?

After giving it a thought... i was thinking about using the ECT as an imput for boost to the PCM...

The PCM has a few things that could be used for boosted tunning on a car...

The main one would be the PE vs Coolant temp...

We could have a switch so when the car enters boost it will switch the signal instead of the coolant sensor to the pcm it uses the map signal to the PCM...

I think this would command the PCM a higher temp and then you can adjust for boosted operations...

I was toying with this idea and it could be feasable and be made to work...

THe downside would be that the fans will turn on and I know there are a few others... the ECT timing tables can be adjusted for offsets for different boosted levels and such...

I think its a good idea.. but im one sided now..

let me know what you guys think.

BTW the inputs for map and ect are both 0-5v.

Take care...
