Wiring Problems???

The guy who owned my Camaro before me was the worst electrician.I'm having some electrical troubles with my car and I have a couple of questions.
This may be a dumb question but I need to know how to wire my altenator.I'd rather ask than guess at it.It has a built in regulator and it has one white wire, one red wire, and a terminal post.
My second question is on the drivers side of the radiator support their are two boxes with wires routed to them.If anybody knows what boxes i'm talking about I need to know what the bottom box is and whats the correct way it should be wired.
By the way the car is a 69 Camaro.
Thanks in advance,
JE

The box is probly your regulator. He probly has it by passed and the other box you are talking about could be a noise filter . Let me think some more.
