68 Tic-Toc-Tach

I have a 68 camaro with aftermarket ignition and general wiring. I got an original 68 tic-toc-tach for a 396 camaro. It has 3 terminals on the back and the best tech info I could get out of year one, npd and a couple other resto places was that it hooks up to factory harnesses... doesnt help me much when I have a fuel level gauge stock. if anyone knows how they are hooked up, please let me know!

If you need any info please email me at Rageahol68@hotmail.com

If memory serves me, The tach was a part of a gauge package. That gauge package had the fuel gauge in the cluster on the console. I would then believe that the wiring harness would be different from what you have. When you look at the NPD catalog, I think that you will see different harness numbers for cars with the gauge package.

Actually the main difference is the 68 tic-toc-tac used a different printed circuit board on the back side which was also connected to the speedometer. This then connects to the stock harness.

I'm not sure if there's a way to hook it up without the circuit board.
