I haven't selected a exterior body color yet for my project '73 Camaro.
For those of you that frequent auto shows, does an 'all body color' engine bay look that much better than one with a black engine bay? (ie. Orange car w/black engine bay VS. Orange car with orange engine bay.)

I think if you paint it the same color, it will make everything stand out. So if you have a few ugly wires, or master cylinder looks ugly..it'll stand out.
I put a aluminum plate on my firewall and painted it black..looks very clean.

painting everything is a pain to keep up, scratchs on the wheel wells etc. I had the sub frame powder coated black, the wheel wells and inner fender area painted black and the firewall body color, with black/alum engine. another idea I liked was this

Thanks for the advice. I think I will stay black because if I change my mind on body color it will still look ok...plus it will be easier to touch up if I need to. It won't be a show car, so I don't really need anything too sanitary.
That 'speckled' firewall looked killer. Almost looked like cloth.
