That radiator looking part should be the condensor coil for the A/C system. I'm finally getting around to yanking my a/c system this weekend, I'm curious if that coil can be removed easily also, havn't looked at it to closely. I'll find out this weekend.

Same here Greg.Remove the ECU and the black box un bolts from the firewal. Looks liek you have to put the box back in though to give the heater core a home. We'll find out!

Yes, just finished removing mine a few minutes ago. I'm also removing the heater though, so the whole unit is gone now. I'll use a thin sheet of aluminum to block up the hole in the firewall.

It's a WHOLE lot easier when you pull your dash out. There are some 10mm bolts you have to undo underneath the hood (about 5 of them) and then you have to pull the whole unit out through the inside.

I don't think I'd do this unless you're removing your heater also though, since the heater core and blower motor are all housed in things connected to the "black box" you see under your hood.

I haven't weighed everything yet, but it appears I've removed 45 lbs. easy from the car by doing this (AC and heater removal).
