356-B13005E+040 at jegs will give you ~10.7:1 CR with those heads
356-B13004E+040 about 9.5:1

{tip, at Jegs, the +40 on the end of the eagle kits means .040 oversize on the pistons)

any ideas on what heads and cam to get, please post. 2500 is about my limit.

this spring/summer i will put a blower on it
I'm no expert, but i think you really need to figure out what you want to do first, N/A,NO2,blower?It woundnt be a good idea to build a 10-1comp motor and down the road just throw a blower on it,thinking it going to make more power.jmho.

I have put a lot of thought into it...

I am going to stay N/A and put spray on it for the few times i hit the track. this is why i wanted the forged internals. max shot will be 125-150

goal for 1/4 time is solid 11 sec car. 11.4-11.6 sounds good.

going to go with the kit on jegs that gives me ~10.7: CR

356-B12008+040 and 356-B12012+040

what is the advantage of going with 6.0 inch rods over 5.7inch rods?

With a 5.7" rod you will have an extra .3" of piston. I'd say that will help you with surviving the nitrous.

summit sells a kit for your application it is a 69-79 chevy small block 350. if you go with a 383 kit the year of your crank and internals are not important. if you have never built an engine before i recommend buying some books (alot of books) and do some reading before making up your mind. you can easily wrap up over $500 in tools to build a engine CORRECTLY. you might be better of buying an engine with a good warranty for your first time. gm sells a short block that can easily handle 500-650 WELL TUNED
