Removing the Dash/Head unit?

Hi,
I've never actually done this myself because it looked to be a cumbersome task. Paying $35-50 per head unit removal/install(I've gone through 4 of em, by choice, in a year) is getting expensive, and I'd like to start doing it myself.

My Question is, what needs to be removed to get the head unit out?

Also, my door panels are driving me crazy, every time i take them partially off to do something with the speakers, I cannot get them back on. Both door panels are currently hanging on by a thread as I cannot seem to line the hooks up so the they seat correctly. Is there a trick to installing them?

And finally, while i'm on the car audio topic, does anyone happen to have an empty retail box for a pair of Pioneer TSD-160R Speakers? My local car audio store has a trade up plan where within a year i can return a pair of speakers, and trade-up to a more expensive brand for just the price difference. The original packaging, however, is required. My retail box has disappeared, and I would really like to take advantage of this offer.

Thanks,
-David-
