Negative Door Trigger

I am almost done installing a GM alarm system... I don't have the right wire for the negative door trigger ( yes I am using the Green wire from the harness)... the system works, but the alarm doesn't go off when you open the door.
94 z28...
anyone know where i can find this wire?
behind the left rear speaker? is that the sub or the sail?

also, if that wire is connected to the incorrect wire, as it is now, could it cause the system to act a little funny?

one more thing... when you press LOCK from the INSIDE, it arms the system, that doesn't sound right...
thanks in advance for your replies.

Hey there, I also have a 94Z that I'm currently finishing up installing an alarm in. I used the tan (negative) wire that hooked up directly to the left side courtesy light. So both drivers and passenger doors would set off the alarm. Then I ran another wire to the trunk of the car, and hooked it up to the negative side of the trunk's light. This way, my doors are Zone#3 and my trunk is Zone#4. I believe that if you want the doors and trunk to all be hooked up to the same zone you can use the gray wire in the driver's kick panel. Good luck!

Or catch the Domelight wire. That should work also.

the wire should be grey behind the left rear speaker or on some models its a grey wire with a white stripe in the drivers kick panel on some models.

Locking system: 5 Wire System,

Non-keyless versions: Use light blue for lock and dark blue for unlock. Both wires are located in either door harness. The passenger switch is the master switch. Keyless versions: Use red/black for lock and orange/black for unlock. Both wires are located in the passengers kick panel at the keyless entry module. Do NOT use the orange power wire at the keyless module or door lock switch to power your door lock relays. The passenger switch is the master switch. *2 The keyless entry module is located in the passengers kick panel.
