If i were to buy a used one (head unit) what are some things to look for? Is it really worth it to buy a new one, if I can get a good deal on a used one?

No, I would get a used one. Actually, I did get a used one. It wasn't even a year old, and I saved like $1200. I would get a name brand unit though, because you do get what you pay for....

Paul, let me know if you sell your components. I will most likely buy them if they aren't too expensive

Hey, heres what Im going to do with mine:

Take out the heater controls and remount them in the glovebox or center console. Get another set of heater controls (just the front of it with the ***** and stuff.) Build a bracket that recesses the unit back into the hole where the original heater controls were at. Then attach the dummy heater controls to the front of the screen unit. You will have to do something fancy with the buttons so you can still open and close it.

You could just use the remote to do it though.

So, when the screen is off, it looks like an ordinary radio and heater control setup. When the screen opens up, the heater controls pop out and up with the screen. You will have to do some rearranging in your dash to accomodate wires and stuff. But thats easy to do.
