In dash DVD player

I'm looking into getting an in dash dvd head unit (with lcd). I should be getting a really good price on one of these. My question is that which one what you guys recommend and also do I need any extra hardware or anything besides what comes with the head unit. Thanks

Well, stay away from the cheap brands, you get what you pay for. Also, I would look for one that has a seperate brain unit too, that way you will have a lot of options.

I have the pioneer 7400 or something, can't remember, and I love it.

when loooking into a DVD player, it's good to do your homework on it. It all depends on your price range and what kind of features you are looking. I've got a Pioneer setup on mine, you can check the sig. The brain is pretty much the processor and runs everything in your car.

None of the links work. Like Paul said, do your homework, you don't want to get something cheap and not be satusfied with it later. Spending an extra couple hundred now will be worth it later. I would look at used ones too. I picked mine up for $500, and it cost over $2000 just a year ago. Check the cxar audio forums and see what those guys have for sale.

yup, awesome speakers. I might be selling the ones I have now and upgrading but I'm not sure yet cause I might revamp my whole system and upgrading everything and going w/ the new Focals as well as the new Pioneer screen. Amps are still a toss up

Not intending to be a downer, but check your local laws. Texas just passed a law that makes DVD/video screens visible by the driver illegal. As one who works on legislation, I know states tend to follow each other.
