A ??? about the stock speakers?

If Im not mistaken, my 02 Z28 came with an 8 speaker system setup right? Well thus far Ive only been able to find 6-The two on the door, the 2 beside the back seats, and the 2 in the back. Where are the other 2 at??? Also my wife brought to my attention today that the 2 beside the back seats are not working. What can I do to find out the problem myself before I have to bite the bullet and take it to the dealer?

Your doors have 4 speakers in them.

2 woofers
2 tweeters

As for the other problem...

Bite the bullet and get yourself a new after-market stereo. The POS Monsoon has proven time and time again that it is NOT a reliable stereo. If you MUST have it stock get used to turning the system down and back off the bass controls on the EQ. Otherwise you will continue to have problems with the speakers blowing. And don't forget...eventually your HU will start to act up and you'll have to replace it too.

I had the same problem before with my 99 Z28. I brought it to the dealership and they fixed it because i had bought the car only a couple days before. However when i got home, they still were not working. I turned up the bass and played with the fade turning the sound from the front to the back. I finally realized that the speakers in the back seat only put out bass. Listen very closely to them with the bass up and see if they are making any noise, you just might not be hearing them like me. Hope this helps!!!!!
