$38k for an evo People are paying $26K for the RS and $28K for the GSR.

The lancer line is a great car line, the ralliart being a great small car. The rest of their line up kinda sucks along the same lines as Chevy's. I hope they stay alive, the EVO is the best all around, all weather, all season sports sedan out right now IMO. If they could come out with a more sedate looking version, they would sell a bunch more.

The RS has a base price of $28,499 and has crank windows, manual locks, no radio, and I refuse to pay that much $$$ for a car without those options. Its not like I'm buying a $9000 Kia. And Mitsubishi didn't have an GSR model listed on their site. A MR Edition costs $35,499. I'm sure there are some suckers who paid a dealer markup on an MR and got the $38,000 Evolution discussed.

You dont know what your talking about.
RS = track model that deletes unneccesary options - market price $26K
GSR = in the US it's simply known as the Evo VIII, this is by far the most common - market price $28K
MR = Collectors edition/Marketing Gimmick - market price $35K

All '05s now come with a active center diff., a limited front diff., and an upgraded turbo. Evo IX comes out next fall adding MIVEC to the mix which will allow mitsubishi to run a much more aggressive cam profile.

That's another reason they arent doing good.

They should've asked GM about making a $28K sporty car that appeals to "younguns!"

Evo 8 or not, that is a cheap *** car. Ever looked one over??? Its like a cheap rent-a-car with a powerful, not really reliable, engine. All in a weak drivetrain.

I know damn well what I am talking about. I pulled all my numbers off of Mitubishi USA's website. http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMSA/M...&1105501079671 And to set the record straight, the Evo VIII retails for $30,699 base price.

According to Edmunds.com there are no rebates on on the Evolution.

This "market price" is a bunch of b.s. When we post prices on this forum, almost everybody posts the the MSRP. And if the car has a rebate, most people mention that fact too. All you want is people to think that these cars are cheaper than what they really are.
