When did Pontiac "Jump the Shark".

I really want to know what years you are talking about. Also, it's "riddance" not "riddens"

Haha...you didn't actually just tell someone else they don't have anything to back up their words...did you? I don't know if that's more amusing or ironic.
Anyhow, I told you why not in the first post: Low-volume and niche. You can opine all you want about what could've been/what was going to be, that doesn't change was the sales figures were.

First off - you don't have to go back 30 years to find Pontiac's jumping the shark moment.
True - Pontiac did face possible cancellation in the early 80's. But they were able to avoid that fate - at that time because they came out that slow period, with some high volume cars (Grand Am, 6000, Sunbird) and well as a pair of cars that held the public interest - (Firebird/Trans Am, & Fiero). Pontiac was about to evolve from the Pontiac of Old(60's & 70's) to a more modern age Pontiac (80's & 90's)
But I had to pick a date when single year when things went south for the "Performance Division" it would be 2004.
The new GTO really didn't have unique character - like the 4th Gen Firebird/Trans Am did.
Also - during it's 3 year run the new GTO sold less than half as many cars as the Firebird/Trans Am did in it's last 3 years.

I get future plans.
I get allocations.
I get everything that you don't.
If you want to see what Pontiac was "going to be" just see what Holden is going to be in about, oh say........6 months. Electric and all.
But you wouldn't know......you're a chump.
Thanks for playing........again.

I saw a magazine article showing Holden not only selling off their remaining G8 sedans, but also the G8 Sport Truck & G8 Sport Wagon that we WERE going to get, but now never will! The continued mis-management of Pontiac over the last 40 years leading to it's demise just really pisses me off! Knudsen, Estes, & DeLorean in just 10 years turned Pontiac into the 3rd best selling brand in the country behind Chevy & Ford with a clearly established identity. And G.M. ladder climbers crapped it all away!
