Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
Not trying to "split any/more hairs" or anything but...
As far as which had the most cosmetic changes: (in order)
1.2ndgens
2.3rdgens
3.1stgens
4.4thgens
btw 2ndgens had the longest run

. With all the models 3rdgens had there were differences/reskins for all of them throughout the 10 year run.

Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
Voted for the '69. I think this is the year that chevy NAILED down the 1st gen styling wise. From the nose, to the body spears, to the fish gills
Honestly though, theres been parts of every gen that I have liked:
2nd gen-early models 70-73 and even the aggressive tone of the late 2nd gens was cool despite the lack of power.
3rd gen- Irocs were cool but the 90-92 Z28's were awesome IMO. Good power and distinctive looks.
4th gen-the styling of both 4th gen versions were good and aggressive but my favorite would be the 98+SS model.

3rd gen for looks (what I voted for). I would kill for a fifth gen styled after the last third gens. My dad had an 82, and they just kept looking better and better after that.
Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
I think its telling that the highest vote total so far is for gen 3, and yet guion has a choice specifically for the '69 model. Maybe that's because its the most unique year...
Or maybe its because when he said, "if you like the '69, you'll love the new car" he wasn't kidding. In which case,
I have respect for the '69s, but have ZERO desire to own a modern interpretation of one. Its already bad enough GM followed Ford to the game in '67, and follows them again for '08...but to make a retro one the same way Ford re-did the Mustang?

Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
I've owned a '67 Firebird 400, and now have 3 3rd Gen's...I love my '90 IROC but the feeling I got driving my '67 Bird was better. It didn't handle as good but it was simple, stylish, and fast and got everyone's attention.
I like the '67-'68 models looks best, but each one had a distinctive look for the Era.
I hope the 5th will take the best cues from all years and have a fresh look for this Era, a modern interpretation of a Classic.

Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
I can remember the first time I saw every gen.
I was just barely bigger than a rugrat when I saw my first new '67 Camaro. I didn't know what mechanicals lurked under the skin...but I sure knew it was cool lookin'. I figured the owner must have been cool too.
Afew years later I saw my first new 70 1/2 Z/28 with an RS front end. Wow! It looked cool and oh, so modern. Man, is that a race car? 'cause it looked like a race car! It looked so mean and sophisticated all at once to me....I could barely contain myself. As far as my nine year old self was concerned...this was the only car on planet Earth that looked as cool as a '70 'Cuda.
I was in college when the 3rd gens came out. The first '82 I ever saw was at Z Frank Chevrolet in Chicago. It was a base Sport Coupe, silver with maroon interior, 4 cylinder/4 speed Saginaw with hubcaps. It was just simply stunning. It's new size and shape were so new, so compact, so modern, so sporty to me. I thought if this lowly base car made such an impression, how would I feel about a Z/28? I would know in a week, when Z Frank had one in the showroom. WOW!! It was the first Cross Fire Injection set up I'd seen on a Camaro....aluminum crossram intake with that neat dual element air cleaner cover. How frickin' exotic! ....a smallblock "fuelly" WITH FUNCTIONAL HOODSCOOPS! It had FOURWHEELDISCBRAKES!! Jeez, the shifter *** and steering wheel were even wrapped in leather. OMG, it was simply gorgeous. If I could have ordered the CFI with a 4 speed manual, I would have sold my soul for one...right then and there.
Eleven years later, I remember seeing my first 4th gen also. Ehh....
I was very sad........................
