What gen Camaro is your favorite?
Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
I own a 4th, but love the 3rd. Give me a medium quasar blue or medium grey metallic '88-'89 IROC with silver logos and the grey custom cloth interior, with a 350 and t-tops.
5th gen what??

The early 2nd gens are IMO the best. Sexy curves combined with a big grill and a steeply rakish rear glass and chin spoiler. While Ford and Chrysler were mimicking Camaro style features (most noticably the bezel around the headlights and grill) in '70 ands '71, the Camaro was revolutionizing style. It looked like nothing else on he road then or now.
The LT-1 Camaros would be my second fav.

The 3rd Gen, then comes the 1st Gen. Not really a good question on a 4th Gen site, but even after all these years 3rd's/IROC-Z's are what the general public (not just enthusiasts, regular people) thinks of when they hear the word Camaro.
They were setup and sold how a Camaro should and define the name as it was intended. The looks are unbeatable combined with what the top cars could do, especially for their time.

Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
I had a really hard time with this poll...I don't neccesarily have a favorite one, I like each and everyone ever made, (if I had to pick a low point it would be the '74-'77 cars though). So I just went with what I grew up with which was primarily the 4th gen cars, (Although there was a guy who lived in my development when I was little who had a yellow IROC-Z that I loved sooo much) I got my first Camaro book, (Camaro vs. Mustang) back in 2nd. grade when I was 7 and the latest model out at the time was the '95 Z/28...I remember sayin' to myself that one day I would have one of them, ( I said the same thing about the '69 ZL1 in there
, lol ) But anyway, I love the 1st. gens, especially the '69 which are probably one of the best looking cars ever made, the 2nd. gens were really cool especially the '70-'73 w/ the split bumper, the 3rd. gens were really badass lookin', especially the '91-'92 Z28's. But then again I like the 4th gen Camaros as well and I guess I voted for them because noboady else did, lol.
It's a good thing you didn't include Firebirds in this poll as well, I would have been here all day

Re: What gen Camaro is your favorite?
I like them all for various reasons...
This will shock a few here, but as far as my personal opinion... I think the 3rd Gen's (from 85-90 specifically) offer the best starting point, styling-wise, for a modern Camaro if they absolutely have to base it on a prior Camaro...
I'd still perfer they took the route of every other generation of Camaro.... and made an all-new look that was easily identifyable as a "Camaro" rather than resorting to gimicks.
