From what I could tell from that scanned pic. it looks pretty good, but the top grill opening should be a little wider IMO. They posted on the other board that the 5.3L will be 303hp, wow that should blow the Maximas and Accords off the road.

 

Hmm. Bland, but it looks like they tried real hard. I dub GM's new styling direction "Extra-Medium".

 

I can see where GM is going with this car's styling. They're going after the late '90s, Japanese, generic appliance look. And they hit a bullseye. Unfortunately, the Japanese hit that bullseye......in the late '90s.

I cannot express my disappointment enough here. Somewhere in my heart of hearts, I had some hope that the new Impala would be, well.......good looking.

As much flak as the 500 has gotten here.....I think the 500 is much better looking. Heck, I even think the Charger looks better. I think the current and next gen Avalon looks better.

Looks-wise, I think this car is just awful.

Looks OK from what I see. It isn't as good as I expected, but I'll reserve judgement until I see some better pics.

THe fact that isn't going to be high on every rappers list is probably good for the car. What the Impala needs most isn't a flashy exterior, its a home run interior. We might not like it, but bland styling sells just look at the two top selling cars, Accord and Camry.

Impala will also have a great line up of engines. 210HP 3.5L V6, 240HP 3.9L V6, ~300HP 5.3L V8

 

Looks okay to me.

Its a people hauler, it looks good, has a good drivetrain, good build quality etc...

 

I thought those rims looked big for a regular Impala, 18"s?

 

I think they're 18"...I might be wrong though. Seem to be the same design as Cobalt SS.

 

eeeeh , everyone has different tastes . I think the car looks good for mid/full size car family car and if the current Impala sold as well as it did , you will see these everywhere I looked at some 500's last weekend , now that is one butt fugly car . Its so huge and tall , it looks like a scaled UP version of a normal car .

I think Saturn will get the car the car that everyone wanted to be the new Impala to be .

It's been slightly computer enhanced. It's been lowered, dechromed and had different wheels added.

I don't know, I think this looks pretty nice.

 

Looks like a Passat, which is probably good for the market it's in.
