There are two things that I feel GM MUST fix for the 5th gen

I would love to see the hatch back return as well.

I can watch my gas gauge go down after it hits 1/2 tank. I figured it has about 3 or 4 gallons when at 1/2! Retarded. When i first got my car i ran it out of gas when it was just below 1/4 tank.
I agree about making the car feel smaller. Feels kind of like a big ol' boat.

I think the Camaro should be shortened a few inches but made wider also. This is going to help handling. It needs to look aggressive. My hood looks like a freakin Sebring. I would like a differential that doesn't clunk every time I drive it. I would also like a better interior. Look at the GTO's interior. GM can do it. I don't like the fact that I can't turn off my lights. That's real damn annoying. Maybe even a stereo whose speakers don't blow out every 4 months too...

[QUOTE=Bob Cosby]It wasn't the glare that was an issue for me. It was simply all that mass. Kind of like trying to see over all that hood out front.

I have had people get in my car and the first thing they say is "how do drive?" (implying you cant see the end of the car)
I just told them i guess

Front visibility (or lack of it) is more like a personality trait of the Camaro's.
In HS, we always joked about when people would get their first Camaro, you always see them parked the nose way over the yellow line, cause they weren't use to it..
Sitting in the passanger seat makes it even seem even worse..
Whatever they do with the future design, it has look fast.. Alot of people say, "this car looks like it serious in the business of going fast, even when its parked"
I wouldn't want to make the Camaro too practical at the expense making it more "pedestrian" in looks (although better visibility is a good thing).. Else I would get a sports sedan.

As far as what someone said about dash shine.. get a dashpad.
cat hump is EVIL.
I recently discovered the front pillars getting in the way of visibility.. my third gen isn't really like that, but on the 4th gen it's bad.. especially around curves in neighborhoods and such.. I have to move up a lot, or get close to the driver's window to make sure there's nothing in the road, and what not.

LOVE THESE CARS! I really hope to see a 5th gen with the name even through all the St. Terese b/s. Just needs a powerful V8 and RWD and i'll be happy as a pig in s***.
Get on it Scott!

the gas gauge IS horrible, but it's so bad that you'll freak out and get gas.. less likely of getting stranded, in my opinion..
I was driving around, and had 1/4th of a tank or so... Then i looked again and it was at E.. i kept driving for a bit, and it went back up to 1/4th at some point.. and occasionally it fluctuated a bit RIGHT INFRONT OF MY EYES.. a large fluctuation.. which is just weird, in my opinion. My thirdgen isn't that bad, but it will change drastically if you're giong up or down a hill. The car was level, though, when it was fluctuating.

Seeing the same but with a hood scoop = cooler.

I always thought it was wierd that you could be inside of a camaro and couldn't tell what color the exterior of the car was.

The steering wheel needs to have more notches in the tilt. When I tilt it on one notch, The wheel is too high and I can't see the Oil Pressure, Gas, Volt, and Temp gauges. When it is too low, it hits my knees.
Needless to say, I keep it at the knees to see my gauges....guess that shows where my priorities are.

Still thought the dash was too much.
Re: There are two things that I feel GM MUST fix for the 5th gen
I never get the feeling my car was "big" or "boaty". I know where the front and back are, unlike driving a sedan to where I dont know how much room I have in front of me, or behind me.
I like how the dash is at teh same level with the hood, so it looks like one long plain. I dont mind the long hood, but the long overhand is what kills it!! Nothing makes my butt pucker up then a dip in the road and hearing that god-awful scrape.

The times I've driven a mustang I felt like I was being pushed up and frontwards into the windshield....its quite a different feeling than an F-body.
