Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

The front end is a little too retro but I love the side shot and the rear end. Retro infulence is cool but it really looks like they took the front end off an actual 1970 challenger.
On a side note the car ought to be white (vanishing point)

Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

At first glance I was like..."Yikes" that's it...it's just a 71 painted orange with Charger wheels. Then I checked the back end and started thinking of it with some different coloring...and I am SOLD!

Get this thing that 392 and I will be there with a deposit post haste. I'll have mine in purple or black please. Very good job recovering from that Charger abortion.

Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

I think with some hood scoops and black paint it will look pretty sweet

I'll reserve judgement until the show.

However, I really hope those people looking at the car in the spy shot are not Mopar employees with that Toyota Sienna in the background.....

Thumbs up Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

As someone who absolutely hates the styling of the new 300C and new Charger... I like the styling of this car a *lot* better. I'm guessing it will still be a porky car though at ~ 4000 lbs?

You didn't read my post right. What I mean is a car FROM THE 80s looks more modern than this POS. I know my car is a "more modern 80s car." Geez...

Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

There's certainly no denying the fact that it is very retro, but I still can't help but like it. I'm hoping GM can wow me in January, or else I have a feeling that one of these will find its way into my driveway.

Looks like it weighs 3900lbs too. B pillar makes a third/4th gen's B pillar look small.
Yeah, I am no fan of the front end either.

Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

Are we sure that's the Challenger? What I mean is I recall someone was working on a customized and chopped two-door version of the Charger that had a heavy retro flavor to it. I'm not saying it isn't the real concept car, but what if it is actually a red herring or something else?

I like it. No doubt the tonnage of the thing will turn me off, but I really like the look.

That car is already old looking and it hasn't even been released yet.

Yeah, this thing is a really a big disappointment to me. I was expecting more from the Chrysler design team. I think it is way too retro (finally something looks more retro than the Mustang), and it is ugly as sin as well.

Re: Spy pics: Dodge Challenger Concept Car

i like it. and i'll give DXC credit for designing it so closely to a 70 that at first i thought it was one. it'll be interesting to see what the reaction at NAIAS is to this and the Camaro.
