Yeah, so I guess the GM insiders themselves just keeps dropping hints and making false "rumors" just to torture us then.

 

What proof do you have that the rumors are false? all rumors point to 2007 so unless it is 2007 and there is no Camaro or you have insider info saying something different what proof do you have that there won't be a new Camaro by '07?

 

I'm sticking with my pledge not to buy another GM car brand new until the Camaro comes back. I don't care how good the mustang looks, or how much power the Cobra packs. I'm sticking with my Camaro.

Some people are blowing it out of proportion. I see nothing concrete about whether the Camaro will come back or not. Though I think Lutz dropped his best clue on the GM blog.

 

Tell me then, why would people keep up the charade then? If it was dead, they would say it's dead. It isn't too complicated.

Instead, they are dropping hints and telling us not to give up the faith.

Especially a certain someone, of whom people like you ran off the board.

 

Maybe he is off the board becasue the Zeta Coupe will not be called Camaro. Maybe he dosnt want to be the joke of CamaroZ28.com. It seems that the Chevy Zeta will not be called Camaro. If this is the case I think we are looking at at least 2009 before we see a Camaro. If this is the case than it will be no camaro. Its to big of a break in time.

The only reason that Camaro hints have been passed around is that some people at GM want the car. But how many cars have been faught for that never made it to production? This is what I think happened to Camaro.

That's some funny reasoning. You think they care if you have "closure" on the whole situation or not? If believing that the Camaro will eventually be coming back keeps you loyal to Chevrolet and buying their cars, why would they blow that? They can string you on for years and just keep on telling you to "have faith".

Kinda like GT4. I'd laugh if that thing never got released. The system is already going to be obsolete by the time it is.
Since I don't pray to or worship GM, I'll let you have all the faith.

I saw all of this happening back in 2001, when I needed to replace my Camaro. The dated design and lack of support from GM led me to buy a Mustang - something I had no intentions of doing. Then a funny thing happened.... I really started to like my Ferd. I noticed how outspoken Ferd is when it comes to acknowledging the importance of its ponycar fans, respecting them and giving them what they ask for. Eventually, I stopped worrying about what line GM was currently using to string Camaro fans along.

I'd definately be interested in a new Camaro, but I don't worry about it anymore.
