Some of you make NO sense what so ever.

I see a lot of people saying "I've lost the faith, the Camaro is dead.... i'm gonna buy a Ferd"

What is your problem?

If the Camaro was really dead, why the heck are people dropping clues? If the Camaro was dead, they would say it's dead. Plain and simple.

I mean, the bird is dead, they say it's dead and it's end of discussion.

Some of you need to get a clue.

I know the Camaro is coming back. I'm just more concerned about whether or not GM will make a car worthy of the name.

Your "clues" are nothing more than rumors until someone officially announces something.

If I had a dollar for every "clue" that's been hinted at through the years, I'd be rich.

Re: Some of you make NO sense what so ever.

How about we reverse it...

If they had plans to build the Camaro, they'd just tell everyone they're building a new Camaro. They wouldn't beat around the bush and lose customers over it.

If they string everyone along, the "faithful" will keep buying Malibu MAXXs and Pontiac G6s in the meantime while they wait for their new Camaro to come back, where if GM just said "Camaro is gone for good!" people would get pissed off, pack their bags and go to another brand.

Seems pretty prudent, let people think you're making the car without ever directly saying you're making it, then when the Chevy GTO comes out, claim you never said Camaro was coming back. Makes a lot more sense then beating around the bush and not letting your customers know the product they want to buy is in development.

There was really only one person dropping clues about the Camaro's return, and he doesn't post here that much anymore. Lutz himself said the Camaro might come back in 30 years. These are among the reasons people have lost their faith.

Myself, I think the Camaro will be back. Hopefully in 07 but more likely in 08. There are alot of reasons why I think this and I'm not going to go into it, but I have faith.

Remember, it's darkest right before the dawn.

To keep people from running out and buying said "Ferd" Mustang, until Chevrolet can figure out what to do next?

I wish we had an objective way to measure this...

I wonder if there is report that shows what car/brand was purchased, and what the previos car owned (if any) was....

That would be interesting to see.

I hope Mustang sells 300k units a year...that'll wake GM up. The SSR and GTO debacles hopefully will not stop GM from understanding a properly priced, proper appearing and performing performance car can sell a boatload.

I'm keeping the faith, but I keep finding all these great IROCs on eBay I really need to get this damn GP paid off

The SSR comparison is kinda invalid, because it doesen't strike me as any type of performance vehicle.

The people who would buy it based on power would probably rather have a vette. The people who buy on looks dont need 400hp or want to spend 45k.

That thing has almost no market whatsoever, quite different a where a Camaro would sit in RWD horsepower war.

Soo... I guess it's okay for us to go buy a "Ferd." Not really a fan, but if half the rumors of the Cobra are true...

One of the reasons there is no Camaro today is because there is no RWD platform to put it on. Zeta, Kappa/Beta will be out soon. Once the Zetas come out and there is no Camaro, then you can officially lose faith. Either way the '07 GTO should be nice.

GM can't use the "C" word until summer 2005.
