500 hp and e-85 powered! Pretty cool stuff, even if I think the the racing isn't particularly interesting.

500 horses from a 4 banger?! Who needs a V8!

You know, if a Kappa fastback or hatchback is ever made, and a GXP/Redline version comes in under $23K, guess what would probally THE hottest budget performance car with all ages?

To paraphrase Scotty from Star Trek 4 - The Voyage Home, Getting 500HP from a four-cylinder is relatively easy...getting 500HP for 200K miles without it blowing itself apart...that's hard!

Re: Solstice replaces GTO.

sounds like it.

I wonder how much harder it is to drift a turbo'd car, because of the non linear and load dependent power delivery..

Me thats who! Reminds me of my old shop teacher, Thats right boys, the V8 is dead, its gonna be all 1000hp turbo fours with cardboard bodies in the future.

Then again this is the same guy who loved deproliferation and waxed lovingly about how it would be awesome to get replacement parts for your Caddy at the Chevy dealership and how engine speeds beyond 6 or 7,000 rpm was all smoke and mirrors because the rate at wehich gasoline burns and its effect on igintion timing

lol

just burns alot of it to make that power. I think the stieo-whater ratio for E85 is like 8:1 vs gasolines 15:1

Re: Solstice replaces GTO.

There are a lot of turbocharged drift cars though. A lot of Silvias for example. I would assume the throttle control on the NA or supercharged cars would be easier like you said.
