Re: Road&Track 2007 Camaro "revealed"
Those drawings (in it's entirety) is lifted pixel for pixel from a series of drawings from a German auto magazine that was linked at Cheers and Gears probally more than a year ago now.
To make a long story short, according to the article, a disguised mule was spotted running around Nürburgring. There were if I remember, 3 different drawings of what it could have looked like underneath, and it now seems R&T came across either the drawings, or the drawings and story.
In either case, that's where the pictures came from. Anything written about them is pure conjecture. If I had time, I'd serch & link the original article.
Josh, you probally remember.

I remember the article too. I was thinking maybe they caught something testing or GM let something slip. Who am I kidding though, I'm sure they'll be up on the net before they're in a magazine. ;-)
Thanks for the link...

I do remember either evok or AH-HA making a post about this about a year ago (if not longer). I also remember it was a hot topic of conversation. Truthfully, I'm not sure what was said about it (the picture that is) for certain.
However, IF I do remember right, AH-HA had said they were just artist renderings and not to look into it.
From what I know previously (and to this day) the Crispey2k & Kris Horton renderings are VERY close with just a few changes.
We actually have an updated version of the one in PHR, but we can't show it.
One thing I will say however after seeing the pictures in the other thread on the site is that Chris Pauwels new rendering follows those lines very close.....In fact, I have reason to believe its a dead ringer.

Re: Road&Track 2007 Camaro "revealed"
Thoughts on this from the article...
Well, to start off, I like the side but the front and back need not be so girly...
Anyways, it states that we should expect it at a major auto show soon...I'm banking on NAIAS as it is the biggest and will draw the most attention.
Next, it states that it could be out within a year of being debuted. Is that really possible? It states that higher-ups aren't happy with the Solstice time and that it could be out that soon as an 07. So I'm wondering...since all the work *should* be done except testing, etc. could we possibly expect a late 07 model, say around Jan. 08 with a short production run? I know Guy has mentioned the need for moving around of plants (that Springfield one sounds good) so that might take time too.
Just looking for any bits of info from any of the winky guys.
And Josh, why do you have to tempt us with the new PHR photos we can't see?

Re: Road&Track 2007 Camaro "revealed"
The article is dating a source from '02. Again, another way big media is seriously trailing behing sites like these. Also, the picture I'm talking about is not from PHR. It's from Crispey2k who has an extremly accurate description of what the Camaro was to look like before the Zeta word came out.
Whether or not it still looks the same or not is beyond me. However, I do feel it's close. Especially given the accuracy of the image in PHR.

BTW, if anyone is wondering who the dickens is "evoke" & "AH-HA", they are both posters at C&G, & are both almost about as far inside the industry you can get without actually being the car itself.
I remember those guys years ago when I lived on thecarconnection.com. We all parted to the 4 winds when that site's future vehicle forms got taken over by a major troll infestation (back then there was no sign in, and anyone could use your fourm name
).

Am I the only one that gets a sickening feeling in my stomach when I look at those pics? Someone please tell me that the new Camaro will NOT look like that...
Please?
Please?
