And you're right, right now this is a Chevy show.

). But they are at the same level in development, so it's a matter of what GM wants.
I get a feeling if it were completely up to Chevrolet, the coupe would hit the streets 1st. Most people won't believe how much Chevy is chomping at the bit to get in the ring with Mustang............ off the record and hypothetically, of course.

Hey GuionM.. Do you still think that GM will "Speak" about the Camaro in Sept?

A certain car is supposed to be a big surprise at the NAIAS, even though it's posted on the home page of this website and is common knowledge to many enthusiasts (and I had a thread pulled for even hinting at something like this back in February.
).

Seems a little early to me.
I've been saying it's farther along than most everyone realizes for a few months.
When GM froze spending on the programs, that didn't mean that the cars were sitting in someone's laptop or a clay dream in a studio!
What they froze was developing & certifying HARDWARE!

When Mark Reuss talked about the chassis, that was probally the biggest giveaway of how far along development was that I've ever seen in memory.
Trust me. it won't take till 2010.
I haven't seen any pics, and don't know any details about it. Evidently, the guy saw a nose strapped to an F-body, but let's just say I wouldn't be a bit surprised at a mule sighting. Anyone remember the "Cor-maro"?

That # has been rockin for the mustang for quite sometime . The coupe market dies , but it doesnt seem to EVER have effect on the Mustang .

Mustang's sales were pretty low in the 80s till word got out that they were making it's replacement a FWD Mazda.
Mustang sales tanked again in '93 if I remember.
Finally, the 1st year of the revised '99 model wasn't very impressive... but oddly enough, the following year it exploded, and hasn't come down significantly since.
