Revised Zeta returns.
Revised Zeta returns.
Maybe nothing new, but this from Automotive News:
Six months after General Motors halted plans to use its Zeta rear-wheel-drive car architecture in North America, the company has revived the program. In an interview with Automotive News last week, Jim Queen, GM's vice president of global engineering, said a revised version of Zeta is back on track.

One 'basic' question, if I may...
Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to the speed at which GM are able to introduce much needed RWD model lines for Buick, Pontiac and Chev in NA... in light of the Autonews announcement? Please let it be sooner than 2008

all we can do is prey at this point.
A much needed camaro would be appreciated in the 2007 season, we'll see.
Re: Revised Zeta returns.
Look, it says "a revised version of Zeta."
Like I said, research is research, they just don't throw stuff away. Doesn't matter any how what hear, I have faith in the Camaro. Regardless of whatever criticisms are to come, I know we got something sweet in the making (probably mostly done).

I took that article as great news when I read it this morning. It specifically mentions Camaro and GTO, and also that design studies are going on now.
No car before 2009, but thats OK. At least it will happen.

Re: Revised Zeta returns.
So, in other words... Zeta work has restarted, just like GM basically said it would, after the moved resources helped fast-track the GMT-900's?
Go figure... a bunch of panic around here for nothing.

I'd like to see the next GTO out by Summer 2007 and the G8/Grand Prix by fall 2007 both as 2008's

I don't believe there are currently any Pontiac's in the program. Certainly nothing before '10.
