What about "Z/28"??? Do they have production rights to that name too?
Just bring back the f-body, but instead of calling it a "CAMARO"... just call it a Chevrolet Z/28.

Hey, you hit the nail on the head bud. To answer some questions here: Yes, Buzz Hargrove, head of the CAW had a clause in the last contract for St. Therese that forbade GM from building either Camaro or Firebirds for three years if the plant was closed. I remember that distinctly in the papers a few years ago. It was no secret at the time - Hargrove bragged about it to his membership and the newspapers.
The SS does not use the Camaro name for that reason, and it appears as a four-door for that reason. The SS is a Camaro concept. Get rid of two doors and you have the future f-body. It is likely not the final concept.
The Camaro, and perhaps the Firebird will return. Nobody knows when, but not before 2006.
I think most people have figured this out, but are still waiting for GM to confirm it, which they can't, or won't.
