New Chevelle NOT likely!
Sigma: Cadillac's line. Already in production, will just be expanded.
VE Chassis: GM-NA's RWD full size sedans & performance coupes. Includes next El Camino. Variation of the current V chassis already in production in Australia. Also a chassis option for Camaro.
Y Chassis: Corvette and Cadillac XLR chassis. Already in production as XLR production have already started.
GM's Performance chassis: The chassis that will be the basis of the Solstice, Bengal, Sky, and the 2nd option for Camaro. Because this chassis will be low cost, it will use many parts from another RWD chassis (likely the VE), and will be the only all new RWD chassis GM is developing.
Nothing really seems farfetched here.

Looks like there is alot of good stuff coming but a Chevelle might complicate things by having more cars that are almost the same, being how the same parts are used in so many cars today unlike cars way back. (engines, chassis) There was less differences then and more choices.
I mean a Camaro, Chevelle, Corvette, GTO, and maybe a Firebird. That was great back in the day and people might think it would be cool now, but today with cars being so similar I don't know if there would even be a place for another car like that or a "Chevy GTO."

This might sound kinda crazy but.....
The old Muscle cars on the road shared frames sometimes. (camaro/firebird) But used Brand specific Motors for the cars. Why not return to this concept in a modern way. I know that all GM Motors our shared with the exception of a few caddy only motors of the future. But why not make performance cars from each brand use one of the family of motors.
Example's
Chevy - Corvette, Camaro, and RWD SS cars Monte/Impala ECT.. could use GEN III/GEN IV pushrod SB's
Saturn - SKY and redline cars use S/C Ecotecs.
Buick - Bengal and others Small displacement Caddy motors V6/V8s only, maybe Turbo V6s. It fits with the most recent buick muscle car the GN and turbo regals.
Caddilac- Only use larger displacement northstars s/c and NA in performance cars. And maybe that bad *** V12 in a XLR-V and a S/C northstar in the CTS-V
Pontiac. - Solstice, GTO, Firebird, RWD Grand prix ect... They could use the atlus inline of motors in NA and turbo. Solstice could get the 4cyl and 5cyl a firebird replacement could get an inline six maybe punched out to 4.6L I know they have raced 5L versions in pikes peak. And maybe Caddy could lend them a northstar since Pontiac is trying to take lower level BMW sales......
This way each line of performance cars could offer its own uniuqe feel. And could appeal to a wider customer base. It would make them less clones and more like step brotheres.

I'd LOVE to see a Chevelle with a nice creased style (no jelly beans) take the place of the Monte Carlo. How great would that be? Forget NASCAR, that issue is irrelevant. The Lumina was popular wasn't it? I'm sure a Chevelle would do much better.
GTO, Grand Prix, Corvette, Chevelle, Impala, Camaro..... imagine the marketing they could do with that lineup.
Now how about one of those bad boys for Buick?

I think they should keep the monte name. If there was a V8 rwd Monte people would really identify the car with nascar. I think they would sell very well and give us another option to build a blast imports with.
Is NASCAR really an issue anymore?
Personally, I think NASCAR is a joke (just my opinion) because it has absolutely nothing to do with production cars anymore (unlike the Australian Super Car V8 series, which resembles the old NASCAR races). Current NASCAR bodies have nothing in common with production cars, and the series is obsessed with making all cars equal, rendering any advantage (and therefore any incentive to manufactures to improve their production bodies) non-existent.
Monte Carlo is the only coupe in Nascar anymore, as Pontiac, Dodge, and Ford are all sedans. If Chevrolet wanted to, they could simply put up a "Impala", create a wide, low slung, altered length & wheelbase skin to fit NASCAR's rules, and staple it to the current chassis running under the M/Cs & call it a day.
That's how non coincidential NASCAR is today.

Its funny though, in CHP they talk about how the GTO would be a good Chevelle if changed up some by Chevrolet. Then I say to myself why, so they can now get the Chevy guys saying how its not a real Chevelle too?? Although sometimes I think that the car might look better/more closer to a Chevelle in looks than a GTO. Pontiac needs the car more though.
