05 Chevelle Concept in April '03 Hot Rod
The April '03 HotRod (pp 62-63) has a Thom Taylor concept of a reskinned Monaro/GTO as an '04-'05 Chevelle SS.... complete with 70-72 SS styling influences.
They are asking folks to email them at hotrod@primedia.com (subject: '05 Chevelle) to tell them why they think Chevy should build it, then they'll forward everything to Chevrolet.

It looks like a Monaro with a 71 Chevelle body kit.

I emailed them, here is what I said:
GM,
Build it! That concept drawing of the '05 Chevrolet Chevelle has incredible styling. It made me say "Wow" as soon as my eyes laid sight on it. I like the GTO but I think its styling followed the Holden Monaro too much. Too bland in my opinion. I think its missing a hood scoop or something. It just doesn’t do it for me like the WS6 used to for Pontiac. The Chevelle drawing has a lot edgier and sexier approach. There isn’t one thing on that drawing that I don’t like. Offer it with those stripes too. They look great!
When 2006 or 2007 rolls around for me and its time for me to buy a car again I would greatly consider this Chevelle if three things happen.
#1 (most important) Chevrolet doesn’t bring back the Camaro, have a Concept fifth generation Camaro touring public auto shows or at least announce that it will be coming back.
#2 The Chevelle SS (or top model Chevelle) has to offer at least 400 horse power.
#3 The Chevelle SS (or top model Chevelle) has to have a sticker price with a decent amount of options for no more than $30,000.
Thank you for listening to my input.
