New CHEVELLE?
Yes the GTP is quite the car and way better a DD than the 81 MALIBU ever was and yes i,d like about 1-2 tenths faster yet keep the sleeper image, after all it is a 4dr and won,t be buying a new car for awhile.I need to get some more use out of it ,if and when they bring back GTO/CHEVELLE.

In short, no.
Maxx SS has more HP then any 81 Malibu from the factory, IIRC.
to expand on it, there would be no need for a large coupe along side a Camaro under the Chevy badge. And it wouldnt come with a "big block" or a 4spd manual, 12 bolt rear or anything else that would remind you of a Chevelle. 2 choices if you want a modern muscle coupe.
1- GTO
2- GTO's that were converted by some SoCal company into Chevelles that go for 100k.

They dont have LS1's in cars anymore.
And the Chevelle is not comming back any time soon. Kinda put it in the Firebird box. Sure its possible some day in the future. But not anytime in the next 5-6 years. You really want to wait another 5-6 for just a word they are comming back with a two door Impala called Chevelle?? Then 3-4 years after that? So say 10 years for a car that is not even talked about. The Chevelle really has no market value today. Its a great car. Dont get me wrong but it really has no jump off point like the GTO had for Pontiac. Chevelle just faded away. It would be nice to bring it back but the fact is they have if anything the rights to bring Monte Carlo back before Chevelle. Monte has alot invested in it over the last 3 decades. The Chevelle?? Nothing...
