Wow, you're weird

.
I've had 2 4th gens and neither roof ever leaked even a little bit.

The t-top car doesn't look as nice as a hardtop, but it doesn't mess with the lines too much on the 4th gens, unless you want to do a stripe. If you look at a 1990's 300ZX, they have a body color piece painted in so that the roof flows if you are looking at the side profile. On those cars, the t-tops look far more intergrated.
I think that the fbodies tops look awesome. I like the way they subtley stand out on non-black cars. It makes it look like a cool feature or gadget.

Consider yourself lucky.

The 4th gens tops are actually pretty good next to the 3rd gen's, but even my T-top dribbles a little into the passenger seat as well as down the inside of the drivers window at the joint in car washes.

Not much, mind you, but enough to let itself be known.

Well, you would think so?

I'm not sure what kind of object anyone might have to a Mercedes-style Panorama sunroof? With this sort of option, you get rid of the manual labor and inconvenience of targa/T-tops.

I guess I'm not the only one who hates the "pile-O-glass" look of a G6 with the sunroof open.

Oddly enough, I don't think that T-tops were very popular on the Mustang - despite being available from the Mustang II all the way to 1988 on the Fox-platform car. I wonder why?

I don't trust any gas gauge (I pay serious attention to the trip mileage on the odometer), but my LS-1 Z28's is the most accurate I've ever had in a GM product. That said, my Nissan's gas gauge is so precise that you can actually watch the needle drop. Maybe GM's overly optimistic gas gauge readings are a deliberate sales tool.

I think they are going for the 1979 Mustang II look.

Re: Mustang gets T-tops & a few other tidbits

I will not buy a Camaro with a panoramic sunroof. If they're going to charge me ~2g's for the top of my car to open up, I want a targa or t-tops. On a daily, that's fine, but for something I'll be auto-xing, I want a roof that is more open. Besides, there's no comparison between an over glorified sunroof and a targa.

Simply b/c if you offer BOTH options then you wont have to dissatisfy the tens of thousands of car buyers whos opinions differ from yours.

If Ford really does do this, this is a slap in GM and Chevy's face.
FWIW: 4th gen F-Bodies use a coilover shock, upper/lower A-Arm front suspension...

He is referring to the 3rd gen which has a spookily similar suspension setup to the new Mustang.

How are they trashy its a cool option that not a whole lot of cars have ever had. Its a sensible option if you dont want the added weight of a drop top but want the option of haveing the wind in there face or haveing a roof over their head. If your gunna talk about trashy then you shouldnt have bought a camaro, since its renouned as the redneck car anyway.
