I'd say you've got it wrong with saying go with the GT-R only for the track times...the GT-R was designed to be a daily driver/four season car...while it's also intended to be a great track car, that doesn't mean it isn't also extreemly livable.
I didn't get it wrong because I didn't say that, Car and Driver and driver did. They felt that the ride quality was not very good and that the various suspension settings made no improvement to it, for instance. The M3 was also designed to be driven every day and is just more comfortable and nicer on the inside according to them.

Regarding the condition of the test cars, although in that article they said they had since tested a GTR that was as fast as the first car they tested, the subsequent issue's GTR v Z06 v Viper v GT2 test had a silver GTR that was slower than the red one in the GTR v M3 v 911T. I am wondering which car they were talking about then, and when it will appear in an article.
