That's what I wrote down when they asked to explain why I checked the "It's fresh and new but it might take me a while to get used to it" box. They also had a "I can fall in love with this design" box. I couldn't honestly check it.

You have to be a 1st gen fanatic to be able to pick of the RETRO design cues. If I new nothing about Camaro's history, I probably would have thought the design was entirely new. One more thing, unlike the SS concept this coupe did not seem bubbly and bloated to me. Very streamlined, very mean looking.

This is a bit comforting to me then... if you do not like retro, but think the rest of the car was 'fresh and mean' and they are obviously tinkering with the front end... we may have something that could work...

I gotta tell you... I am Soooooooooooooo jealous of you right now!!

I don't care if it only comes in pink with tailfins and portholes.

Gimme +400hp, RWD, a 6-speed and T-tops or give me death.

This is good news whatever it is. At the very least we will be getting something new to play with.

I think I'll work on my SS concept Photoshoping.

I liked the SS concept. It's definately different. I don't think it's too retro. It does look big, but they can (and probably will) shrink it if they make it a Camaro. How many concepts come out wild and end up mild when it comes to production? Most do IMO, and so will this. My bet is the 'Camaroize' the SS concept a little more, chop 2 doors off of it and stuff like that, and bring it out as the Camaro concept. Wheather it's 04 or 05, I'm not sure. They're good arguments on both sides. GM is very conservative, so I doubt the C6 and F5 will be on the stage together in 05. Look for 06.

Just my little $.02!

BTW, good job with the report danno02SS!!! Jason should send you a hat or tshirt or something!

So what does this mean that we still have no word after the 2004 NAIAS? Or is there some information that I have not seen?

It's just an older thread that had some interesting info. There will be no OFFICIAL word until the veil is lifted off a concept or production version or a press release is given out. That's what official is. That said, we knew about the C6, G6, GTO, Solstice, and many other products long before official news was released. There are many facts that point to a likely Camaro to introduced for MY2007.

Once again....A trip through memory lane.

This was the first recorded glimpse of what will become the 5th gen Camaro.
