And yes, I had a 94 Z28 several years ago. I doubt I'll get another Camaro unless the 5th gen is a serious improvement .....

This thread should be changed to "Import Drivers vs Domestic Drivers"

I am going to ask one more time that we stop the mud-slinging and stay on topic.

Thank you.

I've been trying. But obviously I'm not a popular guy around here. I get asked for facts, so I post facts, and yet get flamed anyway. :blah:

I'm out of this one. Obviously it does no good to bring a counterpoint to a Toyota bash-a-thon...

Re: GM talks dirty about Toyota

Threxx, quite frankly, I've been working in 100 degree heat in D/FW for the past few days trying to bring a great show to those who attend the Texas State Fair. (by the way......we've arranged for an Fbody day at the fair on the 15th of October......)

I really don't have the time right now to call back to Detroit and get the latest studies........however, I WILL post this thread that has FACTS.

http://www.chirpthird.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2391

I have no problems with people who have differing opinions - as long as those opinions are based in true facts.

Nothing makes me crazier than to hear "well.......I had a "brand X" and it was a piece of *&$& and therefore, all "brand X" are pieces of *$#*. Yeah? Well, I dated a redhead once who was a psychobitchfromhell.......that doesn't make every redhead a psychobitchfromhell.

I have a friend who has a 23 year old son. The 23 year old is a drug addict, an alcoholic, and has the IQ of a pine tree..........but that doesn't make you, as a 23 year old the same as this guy.

That said, I note that you appear to have Toyota/Lexus in very high esteem. Yet, I rarely, if ever see you give GM (or Ford, for that matter) credit for much of anything. Now.....it's true that I don't read every one of your posts.......so perhaps I'm wrong. --- and if I am, I apologize.

I could address the problems that GM and Ford have in terms of competing with Toyota........but I'd probably bring the server down when I posted the world;s longest post.

Furthermore, I would doubt that you'd believe much of what I posted.

And the fact remains that it is NOT a level playing field.......far from it.

The bottom line is that the facts are in the post above.

You can say anything you want.

Just make sure there are facts to back them up or people on this site are gonna take you behind the woodshed.

On a larger issue......and some of you have heard me say this before......the great thing about owning a Camaro is the friendships forged.

If you don't own a Camaro........and you can't seem to say anything nice....then why are you here?

On a side note, that's an understatement. Fbodies are the only groups you ever see cruising around anymore, the club I belong to gets together on a weekly basis, and there's always atleast 10 of us cruising to events or such. Heck, tomorrow (Saturday) we're going to a Cider mill for something different. That said, we always pick up new friends along the way when they see all of us hanging out together with our cars. I truely believe owning an FBody is more of a brotherhood type of thing.
