GM talks dirty about Toyota
Re: GM talks dirty about Toyota
2015? Hell in 2008 the tides will change back in GM's favor. Wait until the new CTS comes out and the new Trailblazer is released. Couple that with the rest of the GMT900 line up.
The General is BACK and will be early in '08. That's when the "Lutz Effect" fully kicks in. When every vehicle will be designed and managed by Lutz. The Solstice is all Lutz and look at how terrific that is doing.
The fun is just beginning.

Quit intentionally tilting the conversations. And then watering it down with wordyness.

Perhaps everyone needs to relax a bit and read this article:

By the way...the 2002 GM F-Bodies RECENTLY won a J.D. Power Award. I forgot the details, but it won't be hard for me to find them again.

Re: GM talks dirty about Toyota
I might get some backlash for making the below statement... if you object, please tell someone who cares.
But of all the people who love cars, I find the owners of Japanese vehicles (yes that includes US built) the most arrogant, ignorant and defensive. These people are ready to poo-poo anything belonging to the big 3, particularly anything relating to or adorned with a GM badge. Not many are willing to concede that what GM has been able to do with their pushrod powertrains is giving consumers better real-world results than so called 'hi-tech' whizz-bang machinery from Japan. I guess that's partly the fault of the blatantly biased media (I sometimes do wonder if some quarters in the media are on the uptake from Toyota and other Nippon companies).
I just wish the media would realize that recalls are standard practice in the auto industry and considering that the big 3 have, over the years, produced more vehicles than than Japanese owned companies, it would kinda suggest that there would be more likelihood that the big 3 would recall more vehicles than the Japanese makers. But let's not kid ourselves that Japanese cars are less likely to be recalled - phooey! Mitsubishi and Nissan have had their fair share of disasterous problems, and to a lesser degree, so have Toyonda. Recalls of Japanese vehicles seem to sneek under the radar very easily.
Maybe the big 3 could pool some money together on an advertising blitz to shed some of the myths... that American cars are no longer big, heavy, gas guzzlers and that imports aren't the environment friendly vehicles that they claim to be.
If you want read up more on the quality issues facing Toyota, read this thread from Autoweek... Click here especially the bit about the Scion and the hunting problem that is not really a 'problem'... I could also dig up some more from GMI (if prompted).
There, had to get it off my chest!

Re: GM talks dirty about Toyota
this is like sticking your finger in a hornets nest and doing a wiggle. why? this public humiliation of Toyota is only going to make them respond quicker. at this point, they have MUCH more in the way of resources to make thing happen over "all" or really both the domestics put together.
to me, this is only slightly less puzzling than the stupid GM stickers.
