Finally Pontiac is gonna have a car I'd buy since the killing of the firebird. The GTO was close, but the G8 looks to be one sweet ride. Plus the commodore interior is gorgeous and modern. When can we buy?

 

Ahhh, something to ease the dissapointment I felt for the CTS.

 

Good thing I got a new job. I figured the front wouldn't change dramatically with a Pontiac nose. I am excited.

I think this will be an excellent move for Pontiac. They have now produced ONE car I'd buy (Solstice), and now the G8 in the works. I'm still holding out for the Camaro though.

I just hope the execute it well. Good styling, potential for performance...let's just hope they don't kill it with wheel covers, a mid sized V6, and a 4-speed auto trans...the same formula they've been hocking to fleet buyers for the last 10 years.

Doesn't it seem strange that the only thing that Wagoner gives a sneak peek on is the front end? You'd think that's the only part that we haven't seen yet.

This is what you guys will say
The G8 makes the GTO look so bland, it really isn't funny.
Is is comparable to the BMW M3, except it has a very Pontiac face.
Has 4 exhaust pipes.
BTW, the embargos I've seen are of the G8 GT model.

 

Now...
How about a 2 door version of the car. Maybe I could get excited about that.

 

If your watching the C&G thread like I am. They are hinting that there may be some more substansial differences. I was kinda confused about that. Anyone else ?

 

well there will be...

and you know for what its worth they were not to far off on the car. Basic styling and all that good stuff. When I first saw the picture I didnt think it had a chance but now after seeing the G8. Looks like it has some family traits. Not that it will look like this but good guess..

 

I think it will sell a lot better than the GTO because it looks better and is a more practical car (4 doors)
